About
James
An
accomplished multi-instrumentalist and singer, James began
composing music at an early age on piano and then guitar. He
continued to hone his musical skills throughout high school
and college in a variety of concert, stage and rock bands
(sax & guitar) as well as chamber ensembles (flute &
sax) and traditional and gospel choirs.
After
earning a degree in music composition and voice, James was a
featured soloist in musicals, operas, symphonic choruses and
performed in clubs, churches and concert venues in the San
Francisco Bay Area. During
a three year stint working for Warner Bros. Music in L.A.,
James polished his songwriting skills and performed his
original songs at clubs throughout the Los Angeles area.
Wanting to write and perform music that expressed the power
of spirit, James quit the music business and performing for
several years to pursue a master's degree in transpersonal
counseling and to deepen spiritually. For the last 12 years
he has focused on inspiring and uplifting others through
writing, recording and performing inspirational music.
