Pluto conjunct the
Galactic Center:
The Truth will Set You
Free!

Pluto is the planet that represents
where collective power is expressed through the individual. During
Pluto's journey through Sagittarius (1995-2008), the sign representing
higher truth, we have seen a dramatic increase in fundamentalism.
Whether it is Christian, Islamic, or neo-conservative fundamentalism,
there has been great interest among those that resonate with the
“sage” archetype in spreading their "truth."
The only problem with this is that many people who resonate with the
sage archetype are not necessarily old souls so their wisdom sometimes
looks like “my way or the highway.” Younger souls get trapped in
“who's right and who's wrong” where older souls are much more
willing to allow differences in opinion…“you do your thing and
I’ll do mine.”
Pluto in Sagittarius has been a clarion call for all of us to shatter
our core beliefs about truth and transcend the contractive effects of
dogma. It’s not about being right anymore, it’s about being in the
truth. Contrary to what many religious and “spiritual” leaders say,
the truth does not belong to any one denomination, tribe, religion or
person. With Pluto in Sagittarius we are being empowered to find the
truth within rather than rely on external dogma or authority.
Every 250 years Pluto is at the same degree as the Galactic Center, the
center of our Milky Way galaxy. Some describe this point as a black
hole and some view it as a vortex of energy. What we know about the
Galactic center (which is currently located around 26 degrees
Sagittarius,) is that it emanates an energy far greater than our Sun.
Whatever way we describe the nature of the Galactic center… as truth,
consciousness or energy, it is clear that it is being activated now
with this powerful conjunction from Pluto.
If we go back in time and take a historical overview, Pluto conjunct
the Galactic Center usually corresponds with the introduction of new
ideas, religions and truths that greatly impact the collective

Now that Pluto is conjunct the Galactic Center in Sagittarius, we have
the opportunity to use our collective will for building a social
consciousness that is inclusive, that is related to collective values
rather than individual values. It is the letting go of “my truth”
so we can open and embrace “the” truth. In other words, our
consciousness is ready to embrace itself as it truly is….sat (truth),
chit (consciousness) ananda (bliss). This is the collective shift from
external truth (subject to separation and illusion) to the timeless
truth or knowledge of our true nature: Satchitananda.
On a personal level it is a time for our sages and philosophers, our
wise women and men, our crones and priestesses, (you know who you are!)
to come out of hiding and to share your wisdom! Pluto in Sagittarius
conjunct the Galactic Center will empower the truth but only if it is
spoken! It is time to throw off the injunctions (from past and present
lives) against speaking the truth and to start spreading the truth
about who we really are!
Pluto in Sagittarius conjoined the Galactic Center 2/5-5/24/2006,
12/5-31/2006 and currently conjoins the Galactic Center
7/15-10/29/2007.
